Excellent treatment from Dr Shah and his assistant, l had a front tooth implant with double bridge, the whole process was explained throughout the treatment and the implant/bridge is amazing, the aftercare is always brilliant too Highly recommended

My tooth snapped on a Friday afternoon and I thought I would not be seen until Monday. I rang on Saturday morning and was seen within an hour and the rest of the tooth was extracted. There is a bit of a wait for further treatment but I am really happy not to be in pain. I was treated with kindness and consideration by all staff and really appreciated it

I came in for a emergency appointment the other week after suffering for days and struggling to get in anywhere. The reception team were so helpful on the phone and managed to get me in on the same day! The dentist I saw was lovely and helped ease my nerves. I honestly could not think of a bad word to say about this practice. I will definitely be back. ☺️

I’ve been a long-term patient of this dental practice for many years. I received an automated email out-of-the-blue last week to tell me that they will no longer provide dental services on the NHS after 31 January 2024. No consultation. No warning. No apology. Undoubtedly, there’s more money to be made going private. The decision is certainly not based on the clinical (or financial) needs of their dental patients. As we all know, it’s almost impossible for to find an NHS dentist these days. If you’re fortunate enough to find one, it isn’t long before the practice inevitably goes private and you’re back to square one. This has happened to me several times already over the years, so it’s just more of the same. My December check-up was cancelled ‘because of an away day’. Call me cynical, but is it really because there’s more money to be made by cancelling appointments and forcing patients to reschedule at the higher private prices that take effect from January? I also have to agree with some of the other reviews that many of the reception staff in my experience are abrupt, testy and give the impression they couldn’t care less. I for one will definitely be looking into alternative private dental providers next year. If I’m going to be forced into paying private dental prices, then I’ll find a dentist that treats people with respect, rather than as a commodity. I’m certain I won’t be the only one voting with my feet.

I couldn’t be happier with the care provided from the staff at Ripley Family Dental Centre. I have been coming here for years. I recently took my mother for a hygiene appointment. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the ladies on reception. The dental nurse could see she was unstable on her feet so offered her arm to support her and escorted her onto the chair. The hygienist was extremely caring and took the time to listen to my mother, ensuring she was comfortable throughout, she was patient and gave my mother time to compose herself as she has reflux difficulties, the appointment was not rushed and I can honestly say it was a pleasure to witness such professionalism and genuine care from your team. We’re certainly staying at this practice

I cannot thank the team at Ripley Family Dental Practice enough. I phoned up a few weeks ago and was given a same day appointment for an emergency consultation which resulted in me getting a filling there and then. After a few days, I was still in pain but was able to get advice over the phone should I need it, which was very comforting. Unfortunately, the pain didn’t go so I was given another same day appointment which resulted in me getting my tooth removed. I was so nervous about this procedure, however, Dr Shah & Sophie Wills were amazing, they explained everything, put me at ease and even had me laughing at some point when my tooth was pulled out! I cannot recommend this practice enough from walking through the door and being greeted by friendly reception to the appointments I had and going through the procedures! Everything was fab!!
